My name is Ria Vandervis, and I am an experienced film and television actress, NZ marriage celebrant and MC, based on Waiheke Island.
Since graduating drama school in 2005, I have worked extensively in film and television in both Australia and NZ, and have most recently finished a 12 year stint as Dr. Harper Whitley in NZ hospital drama Shortland St.
In 2012 I trained and started working as a marriage celebrant and this work is one of my life's great joys. I adore meeting new people, learning about them and collaborating with them to tell their story. I believe weddings should be fun and a perfect reflection of each couple.
Waiheke is home, where I live with my husband Chris, 3 year old son Ted and pup Maeby, but I also love to travel NZ wide for wedding ceremonies/MC work. If you would like a modern, relaxed and fun wedding ceremony, please get in touch - I would love to chat!
